Nigerian Army warns public about fake social media accounts impersonating COAS

The Nigerian Army has warned the public about fake social media accounts created by fraudsters claiming to represent the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu. The alert was issued in a statement on Friday by Army spokesperson Colonel Apollonia Anele.​ Anele clarified that the Chief of Army Staff does not operate any official social media account on any platform. COAS charges troops on discipline, professionalism and improved welfare

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has urged Nigerian Army troops to remain disciplined, professional and respectful of human rights in all operations. CDS, COAS urge North West troops to stay vigilant amid festive strikes

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, and Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, have urged troops of Operation Fansan Yamma in the North West to maintain high vigilance during the festive season.
