World Vision Ghana and Polytank Partner to Provide Safe Water for Schools and Communities.

World Vision Ghana (WVG) has joined forces with Polytank Ghana Limited to provide clean water, improved sanitation, and sustainable development across 13 communities. The project, focused on Ahafo Region, will bring 45,000 litres of water storage capacity to local schools, healthcare facilities, and surrounding communities in Asunafo Municipal, Goaso, Asutifi North, and Ahafo Kenyase. At a signing ceremony held in Accra, Jean-Claude Mukadi, the interim National Director of World Vision Ghana, emphasized the importance of the partnership in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 6—ensuring access to clean water and sanitation for all. US Brings Clean Water to 20,000 in Ghana’s Northern Region.

The U.S. Government, through USAID, has commissioned two solar-powered water systems in Ghana's Northern Region, benefiting over 20,000 residents across nine communities in the Gushegu Municipality and Nanton District. The water systems, built at a cost of GH₵10 million ($877,546), were developed in partnership with Global Communities and completed in March 2024. These systems include boreholes with solar-powered pumps and a 100-cubic-meter concrete tank, providing clean and reliable water to households, farmers, and small businesses. This project is part of the U.S. Government’s Global Water Strategy, aiming to offer improved water access to 500,000 Ghanaians by 2027.
