Nollywood actress Bimbo Thomas says she deliberately stopped accepting “thug” roles after her breakout performance in Funke Akindele’s hit film Omo Ghetto to avoid being boxed into a single character type. In a chat with media personality Chude Jideonwo, she said she wanted to prove her versatility and show other sides of her talent beyond the tough street persona that made her popular. Thomas explained that typecasting is common in the industry and she feared being permanently tied to one image if she kept taking similar roles.
