Ghana Honours Veteran Diplomats for Shaping Foreign Policy and Global Influence

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has honoured four veteran diplomats whose service shaped Ghana’s foreign policy and strengthened its place on the world stage. At a ceremony in Accra, Dr. Obed Asamoah, Ambassador James Victor Gbeho, Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas, and Ambassador Chris Kpodo were celebrated for their decades of leadership in diplomacy and international relations. Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa described them as “diplomatic giants,” stressing that their wisdom and legacy remain a guiding light for Ghana. “Their legacy and wisdom will not be discarded or discounted,” he said.
