Tinie Tempah says Igbo roots shaped his creativity
Award winning British rapper Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu, popularly known as Tinie Tempah, has credited his Nigerian Igbo roots for shaping his creativity and talent. In a recent video, he expressed pride in his heritage and pointed to the achievements of celebrated Igbo writers Chinua Achebe and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie as proof of the tribe’s creative strength. He described the Igbo people as having a naturally creative spirit that has produced globally recognised authors and thinkers.
