Ghana Card registration starts for kids 6–14
The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced the rollout of Ghana Card registration for children aged 6 to 14 years at all its Premium Centres nationwide. This initiative is part of the Authority’s mandate to guarantee that every Ghanaian has a secure and verifiable national identity from an early age. The process, which will take place at Premium Centres, costs GHS 310. Parents or guardians must provide one of the following: A valid Ghanaian passport The child’s birth certificate A Ghana Card held by a parent or guardian From Monday, 15th September 2025, the NIA will extend its online registration and booking system to all 11 Premium Centres, enabling parents and guardians to schedule appointments with ease.
