Nigeria Dangerously Close to Normalising Terror — Ex-Minister Essien

Former Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Chief Nduese Essien, has voiced grave concerns over Nigeria’s worsening insecurity, warning the country is “dangerously close to normalising terror.” In a statement, Essien cited recent coordinated attacks and abductions—including the execution of Brigadier General Musa Uba and three soldiers in Borno, 64 kidnapped in Zamfara, 25 female students taken in Kebbi, and over 300 Catholic school pupils abducted in Niger. Essien argues these atrocities have become daily realities, undermining farming, worship, and general life.
