Venezuela Tells UN US Has Continental Ambitions
Venezuela has accused the United States of pursuing a broader strategy aimed at asserting dominance across Latin America, warning the United Nations Security Council that Washington’s actions go far beyond its dispute with Caracas. Speaking before the 15-member council, Venezuela’s ambassador to the UN, Samuel Moncada, said the pressure campaign against President Nicolás Maduro’s government reflects what he described as “continental ambitions” outlined in US strategic thinking.
