Turkish expert dismisses Osimhen Icardi rivalry talk
Turkish football analyst Bulent Timurlenk has played down claims of a growing rivalry between Galatasaray strikers Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi. He said the Nigerian and Argentine forwards have shown respect for each other and work as a united strike force. Speculation about tension between the pair dates back to summer 2024, when Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan and initially formed a partnership with Icardi before the Argentine suffered an ACL injury. Icardi later returned to score four goals in seven league games, while Osimhen finished last season with 26 goals in 30 appearances.
