Breast Cancer Awareness for ICU Women Workers.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a special educational program was conducted for women workers in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of various hospitals in Ghana. This initiative aimed to provide crucial information on early detection, risk factors, and prevention methods specifically tailored to women in high-stress environments like healthcare.Healthcare experts emphasized the importance of regular self-examinations and mammograms, given that early detection significantly increases survival rates. They also discussed how occupational stress could increase vulnerability to cancer and encouraged the ICU staff to prioritize their health despite their demanding roles.
