Emir Sanusi II Urges Nigerians to Write Their Own History
The 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has called on Nigerians to actively document their history and achievements to prevent others from writing it for them. The former Central Bank Governor made this statement at the public presentation of two books in Abuja. He emphasized that writing and preserving history is vital for national identity. He warned, "If we do not write our history, others will write it for us."
