Youth Dialogue in Jema Renews Commitment to SRHR and SGBV Prevention
A high-level youth policy dialogue on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence has wrapped up in Jema, Kintampo South, with renewed commitments to protect young people and improve access to youth-friendly health services across the Bono East Region. The forum, held on December 4, 2025, was organised by the Renel Ghana Foundation on behalf of AfriYAN Ghana in partnership with UNFPA Ghana and PPAG. It brought together 26 participants, including youth leaders, traditional authorities, religious leaders, artisan groups, and representatives from key state institutions. Discussions focused on rising teenage pregnancies, underreported cases of sexual and gender-based violence, psychological abuse, child labour, exploitation of apprentices, and cultural practices that continue to harm young people.
