‘Black Panther’ Star Chadwick Boseman Awarded Hollywood Walk of Fame Star
Late US actor Chadwick Boseman was posthumously awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles on November 20, 2025. Boseman, who died in 2020 aged 43 after a private battle with colon cancer, was remembered for his generosity, artistic dedication, and impact as both T’Challa/Black Panther and an inspiration to millions. Director Ryan Coogler, actress Viola Davis, Boseman’s widow Simone Ledward-Boseman, and his brothers led the emotional ceremony, recalling how Boseman remained committed to his craft despite illness—doing his own stunts and supporting castmates. Viola Davis praised Boseman for making audiences “feel less alone” through his work. Boseman’s most iconic role was in Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ (2018), where he became the first Black lead in the franchise. Disney CEO Bob Iger, Michael B. Jordan, and family attended the tribute.
