Xi and Putin praise closer China Russia ties
Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin have praised the strength of relations between their countries during a video call held as the war in Ukraine nears its fourth anniversary. In remarks broadcast on Russian state television, Putin said the partnership between Moscow and Beijing is an important stabilising force at a time of growing global tensions. Xi, speaking through an interpreter, called for both countries to draw up a grand plan to further deepen ties, saying relations were moving in a positive direction.
