Bawumia Secures Top Spot, Mahama 8th on 2024 Ballot.
In the ballot conducted by Ghana's Electoral Commission, the positions of the 2024 presidential candidates on the ballot paper were finalized. After the draw, Mahamudu Bawumia, representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP), secured the first spot, while John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) landed in the eighth position.The ballot process followed a two-step convention. Initially, the order was determined by the sequence in which candidates filed their nominations. Bawumia, being the first to submit his nomination, picked first and ultimately chose number one on the ballot.
