Jonathan Fully Eligible for 2027 Presidency – Cousin
Former President Goodluck Jonathan is legally and constitutionally qualified to contest the 2027 presidential election, his cousin Azibaola Robert has said. Azibaola, a lawyer and former pro-democracy activist, made the statement in response to recent comments by senior legal figures, including Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo (SAN) and human rights lawyer Professor Chidi Odinkalu, who questioned Jonathan’s eligibility. Writing on his Facebook page, Azibaola stressed that there is no legal barrier to Jonathan’s candidacy. “GEJ is 100% constitutionally and legally qualified to contest if he chooses to. If he decides not to yield to the overwhelming calls to contest, it would not be because he is not qualified,” he wrote.
