OTR to Auction 13 Containers at Lomé Port Tomorrow
The Togo Revenue Authority (OTR) will conduct a public auction of 13 shipping containers filled with assorted goods on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Customs Operations Directorate of the Lomé Autonomous Port. The auction aims to sell off abandoned or confiscated goods, giving buyers the chance to purchase various items at competitive prices. Open to the general public, the sale will go to the highest bidders, with payments required in cash on site, plus a 12% surcharge. All participants must first pay a non-refundable registration fee of 25,000 CFA francs at the port customs office before bidding. According to the OTR, such auctions are organized regularly to streamline port inventory management and boost non-tax revenues for the national treasury.
