Renowned Ghanaian highlife musician George Jahraa has expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of recognition he receives from the music industry and fans. Speaking to JoyNews after performing at the African Legends Night, Jahraa reflected on his more than 30 years in the industry and emphasized that his hit songs, such as "Ashikele" and "Driver Banza," have stood the test of time yet he feels undervalued. He criticized the Ghanaian government's lack of support for local artists, citing Mali's active involvement in promoting its musicians as a model for Ghana to follow. Jahraa was honored with a special award during the recent African Legends Night event held on October 5, 2024.
