Crisis Rocks Ranchers Bees as Aruwa’s Widow Denies Club Sale
The widow of late Senator Muhammed Mukhtar Aruwa, Hajiya Umma Aruwa, has refuted reports claiming that Ranchers Bees Football Club has been sold to Super Eagles striker, Sadiq Umar, and lawmaker Hon. Bello El-Rufai. In a disclaimer issued through her lawyer, T. Y. Danboyi of Moonlight Attorneys, Umma Aruwa stated that neither she nor other heirs of the late senator had consented to any transfer of ownership of the Kaduna-based club, which belonged to her husband before his death. She stressed that the matter of her late husband’s properties, including Ranchers Bees FC, remains before the Upper Sharia Court, Daura Road, Kaduna, making any purported takeover both fraudulent and illegal.
