Apple Removes ICE Tracking Apps from App Store

Apple has removed several mobile applications used to track U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from its App Store. The move came on Thursday following reported pressure from the Trump administration. The apps, which allowed users to anonymously report the locations of ICE officers, had grown in popularity amid the administration's intensified deportation efforts. Officials argued that the apps endangered law enforcement lives, citing a recent deadly shooting at an ICE facility in Texas where the gunman was alleged to have used such a tool.
