Hogbetsotso Festival Concludes with Grand Durbar.
The Anlo people marked the grand finale of the Hogbetsotso Za festival with a colorful durbar at Anloga, attended by President Nana Akufo-Addo, who served as the guest of honor. Themed "Strengthening Bonds and Embracing Our Shared Heritage," the celebration brought together the Anlo communities and chiefs from across Ghana and Togo. President Akufo-Addo, in an emotional farewell address, thanked Ghanaians for their support throughout his presidency, emphasizing his commitment to a peaceful transition and fair elections. The Awoamefia of Anlo, Togbi Sri III, and other leaders highlighted the importance of unity and peaceful elections, stressing the need for continued progress in Anlo, including the Keta Harbour and lagoon dredging projects. The festival showcased Anlo traditions, with participants commemorating the historical exodus from Notsie.
