A Magistrate Court in Kuje, Abuja, has granted bail to activist Omoyele Sowore, Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer Aloy Ejimakor, and 11 others who were arrested during a protest demanding Kanu's release. The 13 defendants were arraigned on charges including unlawful assembly, inciting disturbance, and disturbance of public peace. They all pleaded not guilty to the charges. The court granted each defendant bail in the sum of ₦500,000 with two sureties in like sum. The sureties are required to provide tax clearance and a valid means of identification.
