Police Order Probe Into Killing of Three in Osun Community
The Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, has ordered a full investigation into the killing of three people in Akinlalu community, following an alleged ambush on operatives of the Amotekun Security Corps. Police spokesperson, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed in a statement on Wednesday that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Osogbo, for a thorough probe. The development comes after Amotekun spokesperson, Yusuf Idowu Abass, said some of the corps’ operatives were attacked on Tuesday by hoodlums while responding to a distress call over an invasion of Akinlalu, a community near Ile-Ife.
