Palestinians flee Gaza as Israel offensive expands
Thousands of Palestinians are continuing to flee Gaza City as Israel’s major ground offensive enters its second day. Heavy bombardments overnight hit residential areas and medical facilities, including three strikes on the al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital, Gaza’s only specialist center for cancer and kidney patients. The attack forced many families and patients to evacuate, though no casualties were reported from the hospital itself. According to Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry, at least 35 people were killed across the territory overnight, mostly in the north.
