Ghana Police Officer at Duayaw-Nkwanta Allegedly Commits Suicide
An officer with the Duayaw-Nkwanta station of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) in the Tano North Municipality of the Ahafo Region, identified as Sergeant Brown, has allegedly taken his own life. The incident happened on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Duayaw-Nkwanta charge office around 5:30 p.m. and has left residents of the area in shock. According to sources, the 40-year-old officer was married and had two children. The regional police administration has since launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Meanwhile, the body has been deposited at the St. John of God Hospital in Duayaw-Nkwanta for autopsy and preservation.
