Mechanized Borehole Provided for Physically Challenged Brothers in Sunyani.
In Sunyani, five brothers with physical disabilities are celebrating improved access to water thanks to a mechanized borehole donated by the NGO “Ahafo Mine Workers Touching Lives.” The brothers, aged between 27 and 43—Fred Kwarteng, Benjamin Kwarteng, Phillip Awuah, Emmanuel Yeboah, and David Gyan—have faced significant challenges in accessing water, a basic human right, especially given their reliance on others for daily tasks.The borehole aims to alleviate the burden on their caretaker, Abena Asantewaa, who has been caring for the brothers since their mother passed away 25 years ago.
