Osimhen, Ndidi, others leave Super Eagles AFCON camp
Four Super Eagles players have left Nigeria’s camp after the team’s victory over Egypt in the third-place match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, Paul Onuachu and Chidozie Awaziem have all returned to their clubs in Europe following the game. Osimhen, Ndidi and Onuachu play in Turkey, while Awaziem is based in France. The four players departed Casablanca on a private jet shortly after the playoff match. Because of their exit, they will not attend the AFCON award ceremony scheduled to hold after Sunday’s final, as bronze medals were not presented on Saturday.
