Unidentified Men Partly Demolish Keta MCE’s Building on Controversial Land.

In a dramatic turn of events, unidentified men stormed Keta’s reclaimed lands on Sunday morning, December 29, 2024, and partially demolished the private building of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Emmanuel Gemegah. The men, armed and equipped with two bulldozers, also tore down a fence wall belonging to another resident, Rocky Amugi.This incident, which occurred near the Emancipation Beach at Adzido-Aflasco, stems from ongoing disputes over the land, which was allegedly designated for a stadium but repurposed for private developments.The demolition was halted by police intervention, but tensions remain high as the case is reportedly pending at the High Court in Sogakope.
