Fire Ravages 15 Structures at Circle, Over 200 Facilities Saved by GNFS.
A fire broke out at Odawna in Circle during the early hours of November 14, destroying over 15 wooden structures intended for warehouse, store, and residential use. Despite the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) arriving promptly, their efforts were hindered by limited access, as the fire was near the Odawna gutter, restricting the fire tender’s movement.GNFS PR representative Alex King Nartey explained that, while challenges arose, firefighters managed to salvage over 200 nearby structures. The GNFS is investigating the fire’s cause, considering potential factors like faulty wiring, negligence, or illegal connections.
