The Ghana Prisons Service has clarified the detailed and rigorous procedures used in granting amnesty to inmates, emphasizing that the initiative is not arbitrary but based on strict evaluation. In an interview with Adom News, the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Chief Superintendent Abdul Latif, explained that a dedicated committee of medical professionals and prison officials thoroughly screens candidates before any amnesty is approved.
