Nollywood actress Osas Ighodaro has shared that her tomboy past—filled with athletics, climbing trees, and roughhousing—prepared her for her action-packed role in the new movie 3 Cold Dishes. The film, produced by Asurf Oluseyi and executive produced by Burna Boy and his mother Bose Ogulu, tells the story of three women trafficked as teenagers and forced into prostitution across Africa. Osas underwent intense preparation for her role as Esosa, including mastering French to play a character who grew up among Francophones. “I practised so hard to make sure that the French came off as authentic and genuine as possible… It took some time to rehearse and practise, and I’m glad that you guys liked it,” she said at the Lagos premiere.
