Over 31,000 Chip-Embedded Passports Printed Since Launch of 24-Hour Passport Service – Ablakwa

Ghana's Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced that over 31,935 chip-embedded passports have been printed since the launch of the 24-hour passport service on April 28, 2025. This milestone reflects the government's commitment to modernizing passport issuance and enhancing service delivery. Enhanced Passport FeaturesThe new chip-embedded passports incorporate advanced security features, including a polycarbonate data page and a micro Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chip.
