Minority Alleges National Security Operatives Stole GH₵10,000 from Former BoG Governor

The Minority in Parliament has accused National Security operatives of engaging in unlawful activities, including theft, during a raid on the home of former Bank of Ghana (BoG) Governor, Dr. Ernest Addison. At a press conference on Thursday, March 20, 2025, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin condemned the alleged "Rambo-style" operation that occurred on Wednesday, March 19, at Dr. Addison’s residence in Roman Ridge, Accra.Afenyo-Markin claimed that during the raid, the operatives stole GH₵10,000 that was left on the former governor's bed. CCTV Captures Driver Stealing GH¢50,000 from Former Boss’ Car.

A 36-year-old driver, Emmanuel Klutse, has been arraigned before an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly stealing GH¢50,000 from his former boss’ vehicle at Spintex, Accra.The court, presided over by Mr. Isaac Addo, granted Klutse bail at GH¢50,000 with two sureties and adjourned the case to February 12, 2025.According to Chief Inspector Josephine Lamptey, the complainant, a Procurement Officer at Kasapreko Company Limited, had withdrawn GH¢60,000, keeping GH¢50,000 in his car parked at the company premises.
