Police Arrest Suspects in Ogun State Murder of Chinese National
Nigerian police have arrested two suspects in the murder of Chen Wang , a Chinese national working at WH Great Resource Limited in Ogun State , which occurred on January 12, 2025 .
The suspects, Yunusa Abdullahi (25) from Borno State and Peace Keno Danlami (20) from Taraba State , were captured in Plateau State on July 14, 2025 , after weeks of investigation and intelligence gathering .
The Ogun State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) led the investigation, with technical support from the Nigeria Police Force Technical Intelligence Unit (TIU) .
Stabbed in Office, Body Found After Distress Call
Police discovered Chen Wang’s body after a distress call reached the Ogun State Command .
Initial findings showed multiple stab wounds to the chest , indicating a planned and violent attack .
Assistant Commissioner of Police and Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Olumuyiwa Adejobi , said the suspects were factory workers at the company and believed to be in a romantic relationship .
“They disabled the company’s security system and used the opportunity to attack Mr. Wang.”
After the murder, they stole his house keys , burgled his home , and fled the state with stolen cash .
Police Use Tech to Track and Arrest Suspects in Plateau
Nigerian police used digital forensics, biometric analysis , and human intelligence to track the suspects to Jos, Plateau State , where officers arrested them on July 14, 2025 .
“This arrest shows that the Nigeria Police is evolving and delivering justice with precision,” Adejobi said.
The suspects are now in custody and will face trial once investigations conclude .
Their arrest has been widely praised as a sign of improved policing and inter-state coordination .
