Youths in Plateau State have called for justice and stronger security action after about 50 people were killed in a week of renewed violence.
The youths said the killings have left many communities in fear and deep sorrow, while families continue to mourn their loved ones. They described the situation as unacceptable and demanded urgent government intervention.
They also renewed their call for state police, saying the current security structure has not done enough to stop repeated attacks in the state. According to them, local communities need a more responsive security system that can act quickly when violence starts.
The youths urged both the federal and state governments to identify the attackers and bring them to justice. They said the cycle of killings must end so that people can live safely on their farms and in their villages.
The repeated attacks have continued to raise concern across Plateau, where residents say insecurity has disrupted daily life and destroyed many communities.
