Labour Party’s Peter Obi has revealed ongoing discussions among opposition leaders to form a united front against President Bola Tinubu’s administration ahead of the 2027 general elections. The former presidential candidate made the disclosure after meeting with Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, who chairs the PDP Governors’ Forum, on Friday.
While Obi stated his primary visit was to inspect two teaching hospitals in Bauchi, he acknowledged broader political consultations. “The only way to rescue Nigeria is for opposition forces to collaborate and change our political culture,” Obi told reporters after the closed-door meeting.
