Alex Iwobi stole the spotlight at Craven Cottage with a stunning long range strike as Fulham defeated struggling Tottenham Hotspur 2–1 in the Premier League.
Fulham went ahead in the seventh minute when Harry Wilson volleyed in from close range after a deflected Oscar Bobb cross fell kindly to him in the box.
Tottenham players protested, claiming Raul Jimenez had pushed defender Radu Dragusin in the build up, but the goal stood after a VAR review.
Iwobi doubled Fulham’s lead before the break, collecting the ball outside the area and drilling a precise low shot into the bottom left corner from distance.
Spurs improved after half time and pulled one back through substitute Richarlison, who headed home in the 66th minute to make it 2–1 and set up a tense finish.
Despite late pressure and half chances for Pape Matar Sarr, Fulham held on, leaving Tottenham without a league win in 10 games and just four points above the relegation zone.
Match data showed Iwobi created four chances, completed all his dribbles, won all his duels and has now scored more Premier League goals against Spurs than against any other club.
