New TOR MD pledges to revive refinery; blames NPP for mismanagement

The newly appointed acting Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), Edmond Kombat, has expressed his determination to address the challenges that have brought the state-owned oil refinery to its knees. TOR, which is currently shut down, has the capacity to refine about 45,000 barrels per stream day (bpsd). The plant, however, is grappling with numerous issues, including broken-down equipment and a significant debt burden. New Ghana Armed Forces CDS William Agyapong promoted to rank of Lieutenant General

The new Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), Major General William Agyapong has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General, a Three-Star General level. Police rescue 2 women in viral kidnapping video, 8 arrested in Ghana-Nigeria joint operation

Road Safety Authority gives Assemblies 21 days to remove unauthorised billboards in Accra

The Acting Director-General of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA), Mr Abraham Amaliba, has given municipal and district assemblies in the Greater Accra region a 21-day ultimatum to remove unauthorised billboards that pose risks to motorists and pedestrians.
