UK to Transition to E-Visas for All Travelers in 2025.

Starting January 1, 2025, the United Kingdom will fully replace physical visas with Electronic Visas (E-Visas). Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration announced the transition, following an update from the British High Commission.As part of this change, physical documents such as visa stamps, Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs), and Biometric Residence Cards (BRCs) will no longer be valid after December 31, 2024. Individuals planning extended stays in the UK are advised to secure E-Visas to ensure seamless entry.The Ministry also emphasized that those planning to leave the UK over the holiday season should obtain E-Visa approvals in advance to avoid complications.
