PSWU urges urgent talks with Energy Ministry over proposed PURC–Energy Commission merger

The Public Services Workers’ Union (PSWU) of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) Ghana has urged the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition to immediately engage with workers over the reported plan to merge the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) and the Energy Commission. In an internal memo, the Union raised serious concerns about job security and staff welfare, warning that the proposed merger appears to be advancing without adequate consultation with the affected employees.
