The Foreign Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced a reduction in the price of a 32-page passport booklet from GH₵500 to GH₵350. The announcement was made on the floor of Parliament on March 13, 2025. This decision is part of the government's efforts to make passports more accessible to all Ghanaians.The price hike from GH₵100 to GH₵500 had occurred under the previous Akufo-Addo government to cover printing costs.
