Popular social media influencer and content creator Amarachi Amusi, better known as Ashmusy, says freezing her eggs has eased the intense pressure she felt to get married because of her age.
The 30-year-old revealed that after several serious relationships she believed would end in marriage failed, she decided to secure her dream of motherhood by undergoing an egg-freezing procedure. She explained that she wanted to be sure she could still become a mother in future regardless of when or whether she gets married.
Ashmusy said failed relationships and men’s lack of emotional maturity contributed to her decision. According to her, many men appear promising at first but are not emotionally available or ready for long-term commitment, so she chose to focus on protecting her future instead of rushing into marriage out of fear.
Speaking in recent interviews and social media posts, she noted that the procedure gave her “peace of mind” and removed the anxiety of racing against her biological clock. With her eggs safely preserved, she now feels free to take her time and avoid jumping into the “wrong marriage” just to satisfy societal expectations.
Ashmusy stressed that motherhood is very important to her, but she no longer feels desperate or under pressure. She added that freezing her eggs has brought her peace, happiness, fulfilment, and the confidence to focus on her career and wait for the right partner instead of settling due to age or external pressure.
