Canadian rap superstar Drake has stunned the music world by releasing three full-length albums at the same time. The 39-year-old dropped Iceman, Habibti and Maid Of Honour together in the early hours of Friday, flooding streaming platforms with 43 new tracks.
Iceman is the heavily trailed project fans had been expecting, while Habibti and Maid Of Honour arrived as surprise companion albums announced only shortly before release. The rollout, confirmed during a YouTube livestream tied to his “Iceman Episodes” series, quickly sent his name and the album titles trending worldwide.
The three records feature a host of collaborators, including 21 Savage, Future, Central Cee, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Molly Santana, across a blend of rap, R&B and melodic trap sounds. Drake also used several songs to address his long-running feud with Kendrick Lamar, his health scares and his evolving relationship with fame.
With the deluge of new music, Drake has effectively dominated the release radar, with early reports saying the drop briefly overwhelmed Spotify and pushed his tracks to the top of Apple Music charts. Industry watchers suggest the strategy could make Iceman one of 2026’s biggest albums while sparking debate over “stream trolling” and whether so many tracks at once sacrifice cohesion for numbers.
The triple release marks Drake’s most ambitious move since his high-profile clash with Lamar reignited in 2024 and comes after a relatively quiet period in which he hinted at stepping back from the spotlight. The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has approved and classified a total of 304 films between January and April 2026, reflecting sustained growth in Nigeria’s movie industry. According to the board, the figure represents an increase over the 267 films classified within the corresponding period in 2025. Classification data released by the NFVCB show that January 2026 recorded the highest number of approvals with 102 films, followed by 83 in February, 77 in March and 42 in April. By comparison, the board classified 25 films in January 2025, 58 in February, 114 in March and 70 in April of that year. The distribution of age ratings indicates that only a small fraction of the films were suitable for all ages.
