Ronaldo To Extend Al Nassr Deal Until 2027 – Report
Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo is preparing to extend his contract with Al Nassr , according to top transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano .
The 40-year-old recently helped Portugal win the UEFA Nations League , but he’s now focused on continuing his career in Saudi Arabia .
Romano confirmed via X:
“Cristiano Ronaldo set to sign new deal at Al Nassr as formal documents are being checked.”
He added that the final detail under discussion is whether the deal will be for one or two years , possibly running until June 2027 if Ronaldo agrees.
“Massive move for SPL to keep Cristiano.”
Ronaldo Rules Out Club World Cup Participation
Despite rumors linking him to a potential move for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 , Ronaldo confirmed earlier this month that he will not participate in the tournament.
This means he will remain with Al Nassr , where he has scored 93 goals and provided 19 assists in 105 appearances across all competitions.
However, Ronaldo is still chasing his first league title with the club after Al Nassr finished third in the most recent season, missing out on the AFC Champions League Elite and qualifying instead for the AFC Champions League 2 .
Coaching Instability At Al Nassr
Ronaldo’s future looks more stable than that of Al Nassr’s coaching staff.
On Wednesday, former manager Stefano Pioli left the club , making him the third coach to depart since Ronaldo joined .
His departure adds to concerns about team structure and long-term planning at the Saudi club.
Still, Ronaldo remains committed to the project and continues to draw global attention to the Saudi Pro League (SPL) .
