La Direction générale des douanes a présenté, le 24 février 2026, les résultats d’une vaste opération de lutte contre la fraude baptisée « Folokoto ». L’opération, menée du 26 janvier au 24 février 2026, a permis la saisie de produits prohibés et impropres à la consommation pour une valeur estimée à plus de 1,6 milliard de F CFA.
Des saisies d’envergure
Le bilan est particulièrement lourd :
- 140 sacs de cyanure dissimulés dans du clinker
- 6 374 cartons d’huiles moteur contrefaites estampillées Total et Shell, soit 92 688 litres
- 10 tonnes de sucre introduites en contrebande
- 313 cartons de Tapentadol, représentant 1 502 400 comprimés, cachés dans une cargaison de biscuits
- 24 kg de chanvre indien
- 5 000 plaquettes d’œufs
- 5 295 bâtons d’explosifs
- 1 366 cartons de boissons alcoolisées et énergisantes
Selon le Directeur général des douanes, Yves Kafando, la valeur totale des produits interceptés dépasse 1,6 milliard de F CFA.
Tentative de corruption déjouée
Le Dr Kafando a salué le professionnalisme de ses agents, révélant qu’une tentative de corruption de 100 millions de F CFA a été proposée sur le terrain pour permettre le passage du Tapentadol. L’offre a été catégoriquement rejetée.
Il a félicité ses équipes, estimant que ce refus illustre l’engagement des agents dans la dynamique actuelle du pays, qu’il a qualifiée de Révolution progressiste populaire.
L’alerte des autorités sanitaires
Présents à la conférence de presse, le Pr Elie Kabré, Directeur général de l’ANSSEAT, et le Dr Ruth Kaboré de l’ANRP, ont exprimé leur vive inquiétude face à la dangerosité des produits saisis.
Le Pr Kabré a évoqué une catastrophe évitée de justesse pour le pays, saluant une avancée majeure dans la protection de la santé publique.
Concernant le Tapentadol, sa position est ferme : le produit doit être détruit sans compromis.
Des mesures plus strictes annoncées
Le Directeur général de Barka Energy, dont des produits ont été contrefaits, a également salué l’action des douanes.
Mais pour le Dr Kafando, la lutte contre la fraude ne fait que commencer. Il a annoncé une nouvelle mesure forte : désormais, tout moyen de transport utilisé pour acheminer des marchandises frauduleuses sera saisi et confisqué au profit de l’État.
Rappelant l’appel du Chef de l’État, le Ibrahim Traoré, à « attacher la ceinture de sécurité », le patron des douanes a réaffirmé l’engagement de son institution à mobiliser les ressources de l’État et à protéger la santé des Burkinabè contre toute menace liée à la fraude.
