FCTA promotes 49 deputy directors to directors

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has promoted 49 Deputy Directors to the rank of Director across various departments, moving from Grade Level 16 to 17. The promotions followed the approval of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike after the release of results from the administration’s first-ever computer-based promotion examination. The exam was held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the National Open University’s Duste-Alhaji Study Centre in Bwari Area Council. NEMA leads rescue after Abuja–Kaduna train derailment

The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Zubaida Umar, on Tuesday, led a rescue team to the site of a train derailment along the Abuja–Kaduna rail line near the Idda sub-station in Kaduna State. Court orders forfeiture of N246m shares to FG

The Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, has ordered the final forfeiture of shares worth over ₦246 million linked to retired Major-General U.M. Mohammed, former Managing Director of Nigerian Army Properties Limited (NAPL). Nigeria cuts polio cases by 46% – NPHCDA

Nigeria has recorded a 46 percent decline in variant poliovirus cases compared to last year, according to the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA).
