Dangote refinery price cut triggers brutal petrol war, heavy losses for importers and marketers

Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector is in the middle of what operators describe as an intense price war following the decision by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery to sharply reduce its gantry price for Premium Motor Spirit from N828 to N699 per litre. One killed as gunmen kidnap retired customs officer in Osun community

Gunmen on Monday night stormed Ora Igbomina, a border community in Ifedayo Local Government Area of Osun State, and abducted a retired customs officer from his residence. Russia claims control of key Ukrainian city Kupiansk

Russia has announced that its troops have taken control of the frontline city of Kupiansk in northeastern Ukraine’s Kharkiv region. Imo police arrest 58-year-old man over alleged killing of wife

Operatives of the Imo State Police Command have arrested a 58-year-old man, Vitalis Nwoko, over the alleged murder of his wife, Uloma, in the Umuagba community of Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area.
