Tinubu mourns ex ASUU president Biodun Jeyifo

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has mourned Professor Emeritus Biodun Jeyifo, describing the late former ASUU president as an intellectual giant and towering figure in global academia. Troops rescue eight kidnapped wedding guests in Kano

Troops of 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army, have rescued eight of the 10 people abducted by suspected terrorists at a wedding in Dabawa, Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State. The victims were kidnapped on Wednesday when gunmen in military camouflage reportedly stormed the ceremony and took them away.​ A military source said soldiers deployed in an ambush position along the Yankwada River line moved quickly towards the area after receiving a distress call.
