Fire Destroys Over 50 Wooden Structures Behind Arts Centre, Accra

On the evening of June 24, 2025, a large fire broke out behind the Arts Centre in Accra, opposite the National Lotteries office. According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the blaze destroyed more than 50 wooden kiosks and temporary dwellings. Thankfully, there were no casualties reported. Complicating the response was the failure of nearby hydrants.
