Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about the pain of being separated from her children in the middle of a deepening rift with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko. In an emotional video posted on Instagram, she spoke to her sons, Prince Munir (Moon) and Prince Khalifa (Kharly), and shared how difficult it has been to live apart from them.
During the video call, she sent the boys gifts, including toys, clothes and shoes, which they joyfully received. At one point, one of the children pleaded with her, saying, “Mama, come back,” to which she gently replied, “I will come soon, OK.” The children also urged her to take care of herself and expressed their love for her.
In the caption accompanying the video, Regina said many people might think she is happy, but insisted that no mother can truly be at peace while separated from her children. She explained that she chose not to let her pain define or imprison her, which is why it took time before she decided to walk away from the marital situation.
She also criticised her husband’s recent public display of their children on social media. This followed a Sunday post in which Nwoko shared images and a video of himself with the children, writing that Sundays were for slowing down, reconnecting and doing what truly matters.
Regina questioned the motive behind those posts, suggesting that his actions appeared more focused on public engagement than on genuine parental responsibility. She said the pattern of online content raised reasonable doubts about whether the gestures were primarily for social media rather than the wellbeing of the children.
The actress said she had tried to stay silent to avoid further media drama around her marriage. However, she decided to speak after feeling that the situation was being pushed too far and her role as a mother was being undermined.
Regina revealed that the last time she spoke with her children was in mid-November, a gap she described as heartbreaking. Despite the separation, she reaffirmed her love and commitment, stressing that she enjoys being a mother and misses being actively involved in their daily lives.
She said she does not understand why she is being treated as such a threat that she is “challenged so aggressively” over access to her children. She promised that she would not give up and vowed that it is “crazy” if anyone thinks she will not fight to be with her kids.
Regina ended her message with a strong assurance that she will see her children soon. She framed her current struggle as that of a young mother determined to protect and remain present in her children’s lives, regardless of the challenges in her marriage.
